Elizabeth at Half-Changed World offers Thanksgiving poetry.
I have a great fondness for
Simple Gifts.
NPR, in the guise of WVXU, offers five Thanksgiving selections of their own.
Maybe you prefer that Adam Sandler classic,
The Thanksgiving Song.
Historians would like us to remember Lincoln's 1863 Thanksgiving proclamation.
After all that Lincoln talk about God, secularists would chime in with a reminder that they love the holiday, too.
Calder decided this morning that one crunchy-top apple pie would not be sufficient, and after I located that can of evaporated milk that I was certain I had bought (I had trouble while turning the lazy susan because the can? featured a picture of pumpkin pie) (Calder wants the pumpkin pie filling cans to start featuring pictures of cows) (but he thinks he would have forgotten the evaporated milk, had he been making impulse pumpkin purchases in the grocery aisles, so maybe the pie picture works after all), we put pumpkin-pie baking on the agenda for this day.
That reminds me: there's a turkey needs basting.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
Thank you for the links, and Happy Thanksgiving!

I am *always* confused by the evaporated milk label when doing a visual inventory of the cabinets. I wonder why on earth we have TWO cans of pumpkin, when of course we only have one.
Hope the pies and everything else turned out wonderfully. Happy T-day!

Thanks for the Simple Gifts link. I've always loved that song, and Alison Krauss is one of my favorites.
Hope your family is having a great holiday.
